Jens Martin Lovén

Resident doctor of child psychiatry
I first came into contact with the world of health care in 2012, when I started my university studies at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. In 2014, I moved to Estonia and entered the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Tartu. After graduating, I worked as an EMO on-call doctor at Finland rural hospital, where I dealt with patients on almost every call who had psychiatric concerns. Often it was minors, and this experience ignited my passion for children's mental health, and in 2022 I began a residency in child and adolescent psychiatry. I have worked in various hospitals and clinics in Estonia, Finland and Sweden, including the Psychiatric Clinic of the North Estonian Medical Centre and the Children's Mental Health Centre of Tallinn Children's Hospital. I am most interested in mood and anxiety disorders and ATH in my specialty. I am also particularly interested in psychopharmacology and have been an informative online platform on this topic in recent years . I regularly participate in refresher courses, incl. I have completed the initial course of family therapy. I am a member of the Estonian Psychiatric Society and the Estonian Medical Association. Children and adolescents up to the age of 18 are welcome to attend my appointment. I consider it important to have good contact and cooperation with parents in order to find the best help for the child. I accept in Estonian, English or Swedish.
